Injection molded Plastic packaging
FL Plast has over 50 years of experience in injection molding plastic packaging such as caps and lids. The company was founded back in 1973 and has since expanded its production facilities and established new storage facilities. However, the mission has always been to offer food-approved quality plastic packaging with high delivery reliability and unparalleled service at competitive prices.

How are plastic lids manufactured?
There are several different processes you can use to produce plastic products like lids and caps. At FL Plast, we use injection molding technology, which is the most commonly used method today. It is used for everything from components for hearing aids to LEGO bricks and larger product items.
When manufacturing plastic lids via injection molding, it is done using a precise mold designed for the specific lid. The material used for the lid is supplied to the machine in powder or granule form. Inside the machine, it is heated and softened before being injected into the closed mold. Here, the material solidifies and fills the mold, taking on the desired shape of the product.
The process requires advanced tooling and experience but is otherwise cost-effective and efficient. Smaller components can be mass-produced into identical products within seconds.
